Parmesan Roasted Pork Chops
( Back to Cookbook Main Menu | Back to Main Dishes | Back to Pork Recipes )

This recipe was one of the first things that I started making as a teenager. It is still my favorite way to have pork chops. Be careful not to over cook them. I cook the pork chops until the center just barely looses its pink color.

4 pork loin chops, at least 1" thick
2 tbls Worcestershire Sauce
4 tsp garlic powder
salt, to taste
fresh ground black pepper, to taste (go lite)
2 tsp paprika
Parmesan cheese, fresh shredded

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees.

Place the pork chops in a shallow dish, tenderize them with a fork (poke a bunch of holes in them). Add the Worcestershire sauce to the chops, and rub the liquid into the meat. Sprinkle on the salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Rub these spices into the meat. Allow the spices to soak in for a few minutes.

Place the seasoned pork chops on a sheet pan. Roast the chops on the top oven rack, uncovered, for 25 minutes. Remove the chops, top the chops with the Parmesan cheese, and sprinkle a little of the paprika on top of the cheese. Bake for another 5 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly.
